Investing In A Premium Quality Travel Yoga Mat

By John MacKintosh

Even when traveling, a yogi must take with him or her all the essentials, and it includes a travel yoga mat. One with an excellent quality enables you to do your regular routines regardless of where you go. Because it's designed in a different way than the standard type, you can be sure it's not going to take up a lot of space in your luggage.

You can easily fold it and stash in your suitcase, backpack and even purse. That's because it is thinner than the standard one. It's a wise move to pack lightly whenever you're taking a trip. You don't want to bring along something that's cumbersome. With this, you can attain much comfort while you're on your way to your destination as it can weigh anywhere from 1 to 5 pounds only.

It's thinner than what's intended for use on a regular basis. Because of this, the product is more prone to wear and tear. Also, certain poses may prove to be uncomfortable. However, placing the product on a carpet, rug or large towel should solve the issue. You should choose something that won't bunch up while being used.

Most of them have a 24- x 68-inch size. But there are also larger ones that are suitable for use by tall yogis. You can be sure that even the largest one is still lighter than the standard because of the thinness. No matter where you are - in the hotel room, in your folks' home or by the seashore - getting a size that suits you should let you carry out your routines.

These products are also easier to clean. You can simply hand wash the one you have in the bathtub or sink. Also, the item's thinness lets it dry up very quickly. But one product may require a different cleaning procedure than the other, so check the manufacturer's directions to be certain you're taking good care of yours properly.

It's not a good idea to buy something cheap. A lot of premium ones specifically made for traveling yogis are available at reasonable prices. These items may not be designed to be as hard-wearing as standard ones. But by going for something offered by a manufacturer trusted by many, you can enjoy something that can be with you on your many travels.

Opt for a travel yoga mat that's out of natural rubber with a non-slip surface. Something which offers excellent grip is important especially if you perform routines that cause you to sweat heavily, or else you're waiting for an accident to happen. Look for something that's portable but doesn't compromise product durability and user comfort and safety.
